C. Internal valve view in SEM. Numerous cribra are present on the valve face, and a very slight concentric undulation can be detected in the valve face. Central strutted processes are absent. The cribra are arranged in fascicles. Marginal strutted processes can be seen on the valve mantle. At the valve face/ mantle junction the labiate processes can be found, the labiate processes typically occurs singularly in this species. Scale bar equals ten microns.
