B. Internal valve view in SEM. Both cribra and a single central strutted process (csp) are present on the valve face. The central strutted typically occurs singularly in this species. The cribra are arranged in fascicles. Marginal strutted processes can be seen on the valve mantle, occurring at every second to third costa. At the valve face/ mantle junction the labiate processes can be found, the labiate processes typically occurs singularly in this species. Scale bar equals ten microns.
