A. Internal valve view in SEM. The tangential undulation in the valve face central area is visible. The marginal strutted processes (msp) and the single labiate process (lp) are also visible. Central strutted processes are absent in this species. The labiate process is present on the valve mantle, and it is always occurs singularly in this species. Scale bar equals ten microns.
