B. Internal valve view in SEM. Numerous cribra and a single central strutted process (csp) are present on the valve face. The central strutted typically occurs singularly in this species. The cribra are arranged in fascicles. Marginal strutted processes can be seen on the valve mantle. At the valve face/ mantle junction three labiate processes can be found, multiple labiate processes are typical in this species. Scale bar equals ten microns.
