D. Internal valve mantle view in SEM. A marginal strutted process can be seen with accessory pore cowlings to the right and left of the primary pore. The labiate process is also visible on the valve mantle. Both the marginal strutted process and the labiate process occur on a thickened and elevated costa. Scale bar equals one micron.
